The popular video game Mass Effect is set to be a feature length film! On Monday it was announced that Legendary Pictures has gained the rights to make the production, and speculation has already begun about casting choices. With a star-studded cast headlining the video game series already (with names such as Martin Sheen, Seth Green, and Carrie Anne Moss), it would be interesting to see who the casting director can get for the film.
For those who have not played the video game, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 are role playing games developed for Xbox 360. The story surrounds Commander Shepard and his explorations of the galaxy, which has received acclaim from critics and fans alike. Already I have heard fans shout names like Sam Worthington for Shepard and many of the voice-actors for lead roles. If any of those leads were cast, this could be a very easy transition from popular video game to box office banking franchise!
